Need for Landmarks

Geolocation accuracy is strongly dependent on the number and location of available ping servers termed as landmarks. We currently have sufficient landmarks in North America, Europe and Pakistan for city level accuracy. However, very few landmarks are located in other regions across the globe. A map for current landmarks can be seen by following the link in 'Related Material' menu.

We are constantly looking for additional landmark sites specially in regions outside North America and Europe. Landmarks are required to be online 24/7.

Installation Procedure

You can became part of the PingER project by following the instructions here. This would enable your site to be used for geolocation purposes by TULIP. After installation kindly contact us so that we may add your site to the list of Landmarks.
